A 19-year-old man from Sacramento, Chezvon Paige, has been arrested on suspicion of homicide-related charges following a fatal shooting in the Upper Land Park neighborhood on November 3. The Sacramento Police Department confirmed his arrest after a man was found with at least one gunshot wound and later died, as reported by ABC10.
Police responded to a shooting at Kit Carson Street and Revere Street, near the Alder Grove Apartments, around 1:30 p.m. Officers found a man in a white car with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The area has seen violence before, including a shooting in July that injured an 8-year-old girl. The investigation is ongoing, and details about the shooting are not yet clear, as noted by KCRA.
Tresla Gilbreath quickly responded to the tragedy, as the victim was dating her niece. "I got to co-op, and my sister called me and said, turn around and go right now to Seavey Circle," she said in an interview with Hoodline. The Sacramento Police Department is asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. The identity of the victim has not been released while authorities notify the family. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
