
Yesterday morning, a car and school bus collided in a head-on crash in Hampstead, Carroll County. As reported by WMAR2 News, Maryland State Police responded to the accident on the 100 block of Hanover Pike around 6:45 am.
The bus, carrying a single 5-year-old student and its driver, was struck by a Kia Optima. Maryland State Police indicated the driver of the car, having to be transported via helicopter to Baltimore's Shock Trauma, suffered injuries not considered life-threatening. Strikingly, neither the bus driver nor the child on board was harmed despite the severity of the head-on encounter, as detailed by WBAL-TV.
Information reported by WMAR2 News identified the driver of the Kia Optima as Brandon Jay Roser. The crash closed the road for approximately four hours as troopers worked the scene. Currently, the investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
