The Scott County Sheriff's Office has wrapped up its 8th Annual 'Season’s Greetings' Card Design Contest with a roster of young talents taking home top honors. Sheriff Luke Hennen announced the winners who emerged from a pool of over 90 participants.
Selected for their imaginative flair, students from various schools have seen their work honored, including Della Thomas from Falcon Ridge Elementary School, Kellan Larkin from Lake Marion Elementary, and Hank Jensen from Jordan Middle School. According to the Scott County Sheriff's Office, the winning designs will grace the official holiday greeting cards of the Sheriff's Office, dispatching seasonal cheer to agency partners and officials.
In expressing his satisfaction, Sheriff Hennen highlighted the event's dual achievement: "Our annual greeting card contest continues to showcase the exceptional creativity of the young artists in our community while strengthening the positive connection between law enforcement and the people we serve," Hennen's words resonate, underlining the initiative's community-building spirit.
Accompanying acknowledgments were extended to parents, teachers, and caregivers alike, whose support proved indispensable, nurturing the contest's vibrant landscape of entries. The Sheriff's Office didn't miss the chance to extend gratitude to all participants, amidst presenting the winners - Della, Kellan, and Hank - with prizes that included gift cards and Sheriff’s Office goodies, according to their announcement. A celebration of both artistic merit and the propitious bonds between the sheriff's office and community members, this year's 'Season’s Greetings' contest unfurls a tableau of young talent and civic fellowship.
