Seattle is on high alert as police search for four suspects following an alarming string of armed carjackings, including an incident yesterday morning in north Seattle. According to KOMO News, a 35-year-old woman reported that her black Subaru Forester was stolen at gunpoint around 1:30 a.m. on the 5200 block of 22nd Avenue Northeast. "The woman told investigators one suspect aimed a gun at her chest, while another suspect pointed a gun at her side," the Seattle police shared in a media release.

Seattle authorities launched an immediate search for the vehicle, which was later spotted heading south on Interstate 5, triggering a police chase that ended with a crash in Burien. The suspects managed to escape the scene on foot, despite the assistance of a K9 search and support from the King County Sheriff's Office helicopter, KING 5 reports. A gun was discovered inside the stolen vehicle, which is now in the possession of the police for evidence processing as they work to identify the weapon's owner. The suspects are described, as young men dressed entirely in black, covering their identities with face masks and beanies.
