A shooting incident at an apartment complex near Kissimmee left one person hospitalized yesterday afternoon, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office. At around 12:30 p.m., deputies were called to respond to multiple reports of gunfire at the Heritage Park Apartments located along E Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, as FOX 35 Orlando reported. Sheriff Marcos Lopez, during a news conference, reported a Hispanic male was discovered in the breezeway of the apartments with multiple gunshot wounds.

"We arrived on scene and there was what appears to be a Hispanic male on the ground in the breezeway (who) looked like he had received multiple gunshot wounds," Sheriff Lopez said at the press conference, which ClickOrlando detailed. The victim was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing, and officials have yet to release full details on the motive or circumstances that led up to the shooting.

Little information is presently available about what prompted the violence, and authorities are in the process of corroborating witness statements. "We really don’t have a lot of information on what led to this shooting, although we do have a witness that said they believe they saw the victim and an individual speaking earlier in that immediate area," Lopez stated, as quoted by ClickOrlando. It remains unclear whether the shooter also resides at the apartment complex or if the victim and the shooter were acquainted.
