Authorities in Milwaukee have issued a Silver Alert for Carolyn Ann Thompson, a 71-year-old woman who has been reported missing since earlier today. Thompson was last seen near the vicinity of 69th and Grantosa, and concerns are elevated due to her having "memory-related issues" that may impair her ability to recall or understand her current whereabouts. According to FOX6 News, Thompson may not be aware of where she is going, which further complicates the search efforts.
Described as a Black female around 5'6" tall and weighing 130 pounds, with brown eyes and shoulder-length brown dreadlocks, Thompson's last known outfit included a white North Face jacket, white nylon Adidas pants, and red Ugg boots, reported by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A Silver Alert, as noted by the authorities, is raised for elderly individuals who are missing and believed to have dementia or other cognitive impairments.
The Milwaukee Police Department is leading the search efforts and has reached out to the public, hoping that someone might come forward with information on Thompson's location. "Officials say Thompson, who is believed to have dementia or another cognitive impairment, was reported missing at around midnight," according to CBS58. The department's concern for Thompson's well-being is palpable, given her vulnerable state.
The community is urged to contribute to the efforts to locate Thompson. Anyone with information related to her whereabouts or who might have seen someone fitting her description is encouraged to contact the Milwaukee Police Department at (414) 935-7242, the number published alongside the alert. "Anyone with information is asked to contact Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7242," states CBS58.
