A vehicle crash in Napa has left one person hospitalized following a solo vehicle collision last night. According to the city's report, the Napa Dispatch Center received calls at around 12:21 AM about an accident near the 2100 block of Big Ranch Road, near Garfield Lane.
Emergency responders, including the Napa Fire Department and American Medical Response, were quick to arrive and treat the driver, who was the vehicle's sole occupant. Despite initial onsite care, the driver's condition necessitated further treatment, leading to an eventual transfer to an out-of-county hospital.
The Napa Police Department, meanwhile, has commenced the investigation into the incident. The reasons behind the crash remain elusive, even as the department's Reconstruction Team has taken the helm to untangle the genesis of this misfortune. In an eventuality not always typical, the early findings suggest that neither alcohol nor drugs were contributing factors.
The police are calling on the public to come forward with any information that may be pertinent. If you witnessed the accident or have information to share, Officer Tom Helfrich can be reached at [email protected] or via phone at 707-258-7800 ext. 5260.
