Following the chaotic events that took place in the parking lot of Kobe Steakhouse on Wednesday, the South Portland Police Department has taken to social media to seek assistance from the community. Shots were reportedly fired at a vehicle, though thankfully, no injuries have been reported. The police are now requesting the public's aid in tracking down two suspects linked to the crime.
Identified by the police, Navinn Ean, age 21, from Westbrook, and Jonathan Hanson, age 21, from Buxton, face multiple charges. Ean's indictment includes reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, driving to endanger, along with violation of condition of release felonies, which, having been out on bail, underlines a trail of past misdeeds. Still out on 3 separate sets of bail conditions from previous arrests, Ean was not to engage in new criminal conduct or possess firearms. Hanson is charged with similar felonies pertaining to reckless and threatening conduct with a dangerous weapon, in addition to criminal mischief and terrorizing misdemeanors.
Authorities are also diligently seeking Ean's blue 2018 four-door Dodge Charger, sporting the Maine Black Bear license plate number SRT74. In their Facebook post, the South Portland Police Department included photos of both suspects and the vehicle of interest, imploring the public to avoid approaching the subjects if spotted and instead contact law enforcement or dial 911.
