Austin Police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred in Southeast Austin over the weekend, marking the city's 70th incident of this nature in the year. According to CBS Austin, on Saturday night, at approximately 9:25 P.M., officers received a report of a shooting on the 2500 block of Huntwick Drive.
Upon arriving at the scene near East Oltorf Street and Pleasant Valley Road, officers discovered a Hispanic man in his thirties inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds attempts to save the man's life by the Austin Fire Department and Austin Travis County EMS were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. At this time, Austin Police have not made any arrests nor do they have a suspect description to provide to the public.
