St. Louis Park is aiming to bring its community closer on a day dedicated to racial healing. The city will host its annual National Day of Racial Healing event and has recently opened the door for interested attendants to register. Slated for January 20, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Westwood Hills Nature Center, it will be a gathering filled with insights and diverse conversations. Locals can register for the event through a link provided in the comments of the City of St. Louis Park's Facebook post.
The event is praised for being a concoction of education and community spirit and is well-known for bringing people together from every corner of the city. Fostering an environment where children and adolescents from St. Louis Park Public Schools and Benilde-St. Margaret's will guide discussions, the function aims to fuel meaningful dialogue about diverse backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, and experiences. According to the City of St. Louis Park, "It is a wonderful opportunity for children, teens, neighbors and community members to learn about each other's diverse backgrounds, cultures, perspectives and lived experiences."
The city is hosting a complimentary community event aimed at promoting dialogue on race relations and strengthening local bonds. Alongside meaningful discussions, attendees can enjoy soup and light refreshments, creating a welcoming atmosphere for sharing perspectives. To ensure a well-organized gathering, pre-registration is required.
