The Stockton Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday night, leaving one man dead. The incident took place around 10 p.m., on the 400 Block of East Bianchi Road, in Stockton's Valley Oak District, according to FOX40. Responding officers discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds upon arrival at the scene.
The unidentified male victim was transported to a local hospital, where, he later passed away from his injuries. No arrests have been made in connection with the case. Efforts to apprehend those responsible are ongoing as the homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. East Bianchi Road is nestled between Dorset and Calandria streets, an area that has seen its share of violence.
In separate reports from KCRA 3, the victim has been identified by the San Joaquin County medical examiner as 52-year-old Tyree Jones III, originally from Oakland. The Stockton Police Department has not released additional details but urges anyone with information to come forward to aid in their investigation.
