Harris County officials are investigating an armored truck robbery that took place on Friday at a Food Town store east of Houston. Two men attacked the driver during a delivery, beating and pepper-spraying him in an attempt to steal his cash bag. The robbery failed, and the suspects fled in a white vehicle, as reported by KHOU.

At the Food Town on Uvalde Road near Wallisville Road, a worker was attacked while making a coin delivery. The suspects followed him, and with the help of a third person, they stole the bag. The suspects escaped with around $3,000. "The Food Mart Grocery Store manager said they believe the suspects got away with $3,000," according to Click2Houston.

There have been several armored truck robberies in Harris County this month, including a recent attempted robbery at an ATM where gunfire was exchanged, and another incident outside an H-E-B store in Sugar Land. Investigators are working to find the suspects, but it's unclear if the robberies are connected or separate events. "At last check the suspects in all three cases are still on the run. Investigators did not yet know if the robberies were connected," as stated by KHOU.
