A violent incident in Carmichael has occurred, with a man accused of physically restraining a woman, cutting her neck with scissors, and then sexually assaulting her, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. ABC10 reports that the attack happened last Sunday evening around 5:30 p.m. on the 4400 block of Garfield Avenue.
As mentioned by CBS Sacramento, the suspect, whose identity has not been released, claimed to have a medical emergency after the assault and was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Authorities are currently investigating the events that led to the act of violence.
