Following the fatal shooting that erupted from a dispute in Baltimore’s Northeast District, police have apprehended 26-year-old Amir Barnes-Henderson in connection with the homicide of 34-year-old Gary Matthews. The incident unfolded on November 21 on Frankford Avenue and culminated in Barnes-Henderson's arrest on November 29 during a burglary investigation on Crenshaw Avenue.
Upon responding to a call for discharging on the night of the incident, officers discovered Matthews with a life-threatening gunshot wound, sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Immediately taking the reins, homicide detectives delved into the investigation, which led to the arrest of Barnes-Henderson. Charged with first and second-degree murder, the suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, according to the Baltimore Police Department's report.
