
A suspect has been arrested in Sonoma County on various charges, including burglary, identity theft, and possession of stolen property. The arrests stemmed from an incident on Monday, in which officers were alerted to a breach at an apartment complex on Avram Avenue and discovered a male suspect who appeared to have settled himself into an unoccupied unit, as recently reported by the City of Rohnert Park Police & Fire on their social media.
The arrest, detailed in a Facebook post by the local police and fire departments, occurred after officers determined the suspect had illegally entered and utilized the apartment utilities. While the suspect was being searched, they found methamphetamine, in addition to several items previously reported missing from Technology Middle School and Technology High School, suggesting a spree of thefts executed.
Further digging into the suspect's belongings unearthed an assortment of debit and credit cards, identification documents, and other personal effects that did not belong to him, but rather to various individuals within the community. According to the Rohnert Park Police & Fire social media post, the suspect is now facing multiple charges: "Burglary, 11377(a) H&S – Possession of Controlled Substance, 530.5(a) PC – Identity Theft, and 496(a) PC – Possession of Stolen Property."
