Tarrant County offices are about to briefly pause for the holiday season. As the festive period draws closer, the county has announced office closures that will impact services during the Christmas and New Year's holidays. So mark your calendars, or better yet, set a reminder on your phones.
According to Tarrant County, the doors to Tarrant County offices will be firmly shut on December 24 and 25. This closure gives employees the chance to fully embrace the Christmas spirit with friends and family. Operations are expected to swiftly resume come Thursday, December 26. So if you've got any pending county services to wrap up before the New Year rolls in, you've got a narrow window to swiftly get them done.
The holidays don't stop there because when it comes to celebrating the arrival of 2024, Tarrant County is taking a day off as well. New Year’s Day, which falls on a Wednesday, January 1, will see county officials taking another much-deserved break. But there's no need to fret—the doors will swing open again on Thursday, January 2, when normal operating hours will once again be in effect.
