In the spirit of the holiday season, the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) has once again spearheaded a campaign to support their own. The office's charitable efforts, coordinated by the Chaplains Office and various TCSO teams and associations, ensured that Christmas was indeed a time of giving and receiving for families within their ranks who are facing challenging times.
The TCSO took to social media to share the success of their "TCSO Gives Day 11: Giving Back to TCSO" initiative. According to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, the program this year was a resounding success. Eleven families and 22 children had the opportunity to experience a joyous Christmas thanks to the collective efforts of the Chaplains team, led by Ellen, Chief Pedigo, the Tarrant County Law Enforcement Association, and members of the Detention team. Working together as "Super Shoppers," they selected and purchased gifts with care and compassion.
Ellen, who operates within the Chaplains Office, is praised for her annual dedication to providing holiday assistance to those TCSO employees finding themselves in need. At the heart of their initiative, alongside them, the other "Super Shoppers" made sure that each child's wish list was thoughtfully fulfilled. Wrapped presents, bearing hope and goodwill, were destined for homes where the shadow of hardship may have otherwise cast a pall over the festive cheer.
