
Two teenage girls were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Zeeland Township yesterday afternoon. The accident occurred around 1:40 p.m. at 96th Avenue and Riley Street. According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, a 16-year-old driving a Subaru mistakenly thought the way was clear before turning, as reported by WoodTV.
The subsequent collision with a northbound Toyota, driven by a 43-year-old Holland man, prompted emergency services to quickly to respond to the scene. As detailed in a FOX 17 News article, the crash resulted in non-life-threatening injuries for both teenage girls from Zeeland, who were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Toyota was found to be not injured in the aftermath of the crash, according to WZZM.
It was also noted that all involved parties were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident.
