Early this morning, a 19-year-old was hospitalized after a violent altercation at Jane Dubel Park in San Antonio. The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. along Callaghan Road near Loop 410 on the Northwest Side. The teen expected to meet his girlfriend but was confronted by her friends with bad intentions, according to FOX San Antonio.
The victim told police that after arriving at the park, instead of finding his girlfriend, several of her associates proceeded to assault him, culminating in a gunshot wound to the arm. He suspects that it was his girlfriend who orchestrated the ambush. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, as abc45 News reported.
As the victim recovers, authorities are investigating the events that led to the incident.
