A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed outside a Christmas party on Wednesday night in southwest Houston. The shooting happened at an apartment complex on Burdine Street. The teenager, whose name hasn't been released, was found with a gunshot wound to his head after stepping outside the party and did not return, as reported by Click2Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the victim had been coming and going from the party throughout the evening. Paramedics found the critically injured teen while helping someone else at the party. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene, as obtained by KHOU.
The Houston Police Department has launched a homicide investigation following a recent shooting, though details about the incident remain limited. Sgt. Ali stated that there is currently little evidence, and no suspect information or potential motive has been released.
