Wilkens of the Houston Police Department, the preliminary investigation suggests that two men in a Honda Civic were fired upon by assailants in a Chevrolet Trailblazer. In the ensuing chaos, it is believed that return fire was exchanged between the parties.
One of the injured men, a 19-year-old, was found by officers at the scene and transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he underwent surgery. The teenage girl, succumbing to her injuries after being taken to a hospital by friends, was not as fortunate. A third victim, a 29-year-old man, has been hospitalized with gunshot wounds but is expected to survive and has been able to communicate with investigators.
