The Rose Parade is set to bloom with a dash of celebrity sparkle in Pasadena this coming New Year's Day. According to a statement from the City of Pasadena, Mayor Victor M. Gordo, along with a coterie of local luminaries, will grace the 136th iteration of the storied parade. Terry Crews, the multifaceted entertainer, and former NFL player, together with his wife, Rebecca Crews—who recently opened her first flagship store—are confirmed to join in the festivities.
Mayor Gordo and his special guests will be seated comfortably aboard a historical White Motor Co. bus, one that has journeyed through the chapters of time from its service in Yosemite National Park to a multi-decade garage hibernation, finally restored to partake in the parade's pageantry. The bus will transport Gordo, his family, and his esteemed guests down the 5.5-mile stretch of Colorado Boulevard. "For a couple of years now, Terry, Rebecca and I have talked about riding down Colorado Blvd. together and we will finally have that opportunity. Terry and Rebecca: here we go!" Gordo proclaimed, showcasing his anticipation.
Venerated Dodgers broadcaster Jaime Jarrín, alongside his son Jorge Jarrín, and daughter-in-law, Maggie Jarrín, will also partake in the jaunt. Their familial ties to the Dodgers, and involvement with the Jaime and Blanca Jarrín Foundation, imbue the parade with a philanthropic tint. Jaime, the voice of Dodgers for over six decades, and his son Jorge—an LA radio veteran—lend their storied presence to the event. In a statement obtained by the CityOfPasadena.net, Jorge expressed delight on behalf of the Jarrín family: “We are thrilled to be joining Mayor Victor Gordo, along with his family to ring in 2025."
Terry Crews, no stranger to the limelight or Pasadena's community endeavors, mirrors this sentiment. “Rebecca and I are beyond excited to be a part of the 2025 Rose Parade! As longtime Pasadena residents, this iconic celebration holds a special place in our hearts," he told CityOfPasadena.net, underscoring the event's personal significance to him and his wife. Amidst his extensive list of accomplishments, from hosting "America's Got Talent" to earning acclaim on the Brooklyn Nine-Nine set, Crews eagerly anticipates the shared community experience.
