Taking the theme of literary companionship to the next level, community members were invited to cast their votes for their favored fictional character, drawing an enthusiastic local response. According to a social media post by the White Settlement Community Services, the iconic The Cat in the Hat has clinched the win with 35 votes.
The community’s love for the top-hatted, mischievous feline was clear, but it was a close contest. With her lovable chaos, Bad Kitty earned 21 votes, showing her enduring appeal. Other characters also shone, with 20 write-in votes featuring favorites like Snoopy, Pete the Cat, and Browser the Library Cat, a beloved local mascot.
The organizers commended the community's participation, thanking all who took the time to vote and engage with their library's endeavor to create a festive and literary atmosphere.
