Three individuals have been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred the night before Thanksgiving in North Richland Hills, claiming the life of 52-year-old Brian Pence. According to FOX 4 News, a drive-by shooting mistakenly targeted Pence's home on Stonybrooke Drive, leading to his death.
The incident unfolded just before 11 p.m. when shots were fired from a vehicle at Pence's residence. The gunfire shattered a window, striking Pence while he was asleep. Despite efforts to save him, Pence was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to CBS News. In the days that followed, North Richland Hills and Fort Worth Police Departments worked in collaboration to apprehend two suspects in the early hours of Nov. 30, and, a third suspect was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon after a routine traffic stop.
The unauthorized incursion into the peaceful night, where gunshots rang out like deadly messengers on the wrong path, tragically took Pence from his loved ones. The police have indicated that the assailants had no known connection to the victim. Officers suggest the suspects intended to retaliate over what was described as a "juvenile feud" and mistakenly chose Pence's house as their target, as detailed in a statement provided to CBS News.
