
Tragedy struck Friday night in Lancaster County, resulting in the loss of three lives in a head-on collision, the South Carolina Highway Patrol reports. According to an article by QCNews, the incident occurred around 10:25 p.m. on North Rocky River Road when a 2023 Toyota pickup truck, traveling south, collided with a Chevrolet pickup truck heading in the opposite direction.
Both vehicles were occupied at the time of the crash. The Toyota held both a driver and a passenger, who have been confirmed deceased by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Similarly, traveling north, the driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck was alone but also succumbed to the fatal impact of the crash, as stated in a report from WBTV.
As of this time, the identities of those killed in the accident have not been released to the public. An ongoing investigation into the precise cause of the crash is underway by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The section of the road where the collision occurred is about eight miles east of Lancaster, which WCNC notes happened around 10:30 p.m., though the majority of reports suggest it was slightly earlier.
