Three individuals are now in custody following a brazen armed robbery in Portland's Lents neighborhood. According to a report released by the Portland Police Bureau, the incident unfolded on Southeast Flavel Street last Thursday, where the suspects allegedly robbed a houseless person at gunpoint of their camping trailer. The coordinated response by law enforcement included air surveillance and a canine unit, to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators.

The Portland Police Bureau's East Precinct officers were quick to respond to the initial call, with the aid of the Air Support Unit, who observed as the suspects hitched the stolen trailer to a pickup truck, and proceeded to make their getaway. Despite some individuals managing to initially escape in a stolen Toyota 4-Runner, authorities acted quickly to track and locate the fleeing suspects. The abandoned SUV was soon found, which eventually led to the capture of two more suspects, while one individual is still at large.

All detainees were transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center and are facing serious charges. The suspects, identified as Hovsep Agvinyan, 50, of Portland; Deanna Drennan, 31, of Clackamas; and Jason Pruitt, 48, of Gresham; have been charged with Robbery in the First Degree, Robbery in the Second Degree, Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. These charges indicate the severity of the crime and signal the police department's dedication to bringing those responsible to justice.

This crime highlights ongoing issues with crime in the city and the vulnerability of the homeless population.
