Yesterday, St. Cloud authorities apprehended three teenagers following a string of burglaries in Commerce Center Drive. According to ClickOrlando, the individuals piloting a stolen car targeted several vehicles, specifically those under the Kia brand, to steal and burglarize in the Summer Cove community.
Not content to only surreptitiously commit theft, the burglars escalated their crime spree by using the stolen car as a ram to crash through the wall of Signal Zero Supplies, a business located on the same drive. However, their method of entry left the vehicle incapacitated, prompting the teens to flee and ultimately attempt to escape via a rideshare app, as reported by ClickOrlando.
Officers intervened promptly, detaining all three suspects during a traffic stop of the rideshare vehicle. The teens are now facing multiple charges, including grand theft and criminal mischief, as detailed in statements given to local news outlets. FOX35 Orlando asserts additional charges could encompass possession of tools and auto burglary.
