An alleged serial burglar was apprehended on Christmas morning after a homeowner encountered him inside her residence on the 1200 block of Solano Avenue. The woman, fortunately, was able to quickly depart and inform the authorities, who arrived promptly to arrest the suspect as he tried to exit the house, according to the Vallejo Police Department's social media post.

The officers determined that the suspect, with prior convictions for theft, had ransacked the targeted home, the signs of forced entry apparent. He was Mirandized, at which point he confessed to not residing at the property and was taken to Solano County Jail on burglary charges. It appeared to be a one-off incident until last Friday when another burglary was reported. This time, a business on the 200 block of Marin Street had been hit, suffering around $10,000 in damages with over $200 in stolen goods.

The culprit is none other than the suspect taken into custody on Christmas. The VPD, by cross-referencing surveillance footage provided by the business owner, noted that the apprehended individual matched the suspect in the video, even donning the same attire during both incidents.

The Vallejo Police observed their suspect trying to perform this same criminal act in another jurisdiction. He was arrested again in Fairfield, CA, yesterday for a residential burglary.
