Viva, the budget-friendly airline of Mexico, has launched a new service for individuals seeking to travel between San Antonio and Guadalajara. As reported by the City of San Antonio's website, the inaugural flight took off on Monday, with passengers embarking on their journey from San Antonio International Airport (SAT) directly to Guadalajara International Airport (GDL). This new route signals the sixth nonstop destination offered by Viva from San Antonio.

"Here at Viva, we're aiming to make travel between Mexico and the United States easier than ever," Viva’s Executive Vice President and Chief Planning and Alliances Officer, Javier Suarez, told the City of San Antonio. He noted the unique identities of both San Antonio and Guadalajara and expressed enthusiasm about the potential cultural exchange the new service would encourage.

The City of San Antonio's Aviation Department recognizes the growing demand for routes to Mexico, especially during the holiday season. "We recognize that we have a demand for travel to Mexico, even more so during the holidays, so it's the perfect time to introduce more nonstop options to one of the most popular destinations in the region," Jacob Tyler, Air Service Administrator, commented in the City of San Antonio's announcement.

Viva now provides flights to GDL from SAT four times a week and has expanded services to include Leon/Guanajuato, Mexico City, Queretaro, Torreon, and Monterrey. Travelers interested in exploring Mexico's rich cultural backdrop and natural wonders are urged to leverage Viva's affordable fares and modern fleet. Full details about all nonstop flights available from SAT can be found by visiting the airport's website.
