The holiday spirit in White Settlement isn't going to be dampened by a bit of rain or even a parade washout. The meteorological Grinch that stole the annual Christmas parade this year couldn't keep the festivities at bay as the community prepares for an alternate celebration today.
Turning a potential silent night into a jolly evening, the local Recreation Center is poised to transform into a winter wonderland. Complete with the quintessential holiday figures, food trucks, and seasonal vendors, the affair promises to be a delight. A virtual tree lighting ceremony will be led by Mayor Young, who will be streaming live from Veterans Park. Ensuring there's enough Christmas cheer, "We will have food trucks, holiday vendors, Santa Claus, and his merry elves for an amazing night full of joy and magic for the whole family!" the City of White Settlement social media update further revealed.
Not to let any Grinchy vibes return, the city has also scheduled the screening of a holiday classic to cap off the event. As hot chocolate warms hands and hearts alike, attendees will settle in to watch "the classic Polar Express Christmas movie…All Aboard!" per the City of White Settlement social media announcement. The attraction of the big screen under the stars, paired with the film's heartwarming tale, promises to provide a perfect backdrop for making holiday memories.
