As the holiday season approaches, Wilson County residents should note the upcoming closures for government offices and waste services. Wilson County Government Offices will be closed for a short break during Christmas, from next week's Tuesday to Thursday, as announced on the Wilson County website.
Essential services like Public Safety and Emergency Services will continue their vigilant watch.
Residents planning to visit Solid Waste Services, Convenience Centers, or the C&D Landfill during the holidays should note that these sites will have their own closure dates. The official announcement provides a clear schedule for when each location will be closed to the public.
Convenience Center Sites 1 through 12 will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, reopening on Thursday at 7 am. WCSWS, C&D Landfill, and Site 13 will close on those days and reopen on Friday at 8 am.
For the New Year, WCSWS, C&D Landfill, and Site 13 will be closed on January 1, and reopen on January 2 at 8 am. Convenience Center Sites 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 11 will follow the same schedule, while Sites 2, 5, 7, 10, and 12 will remain open to handle holiday waste.
