The 47-year-old motorcyclist was navigating the outside northbound lane of I-275 near milepost 43 when the accident happened around 2:40 p.m. in Hillsborough County. Concurrently, a 49-year-old woman from Lithia was merging onto the interstate in a Tesla Model 3 with a 19-year-old female passenger, as reported by ABC Action News. The motorcyclist tragically drove, across the gore at the entrance ramp, which resulted in a collision with the left rear of the Tesla.

The aftermath of the impact was severe. The biker, whose life was abruptly ended by this incident, was immediately transported to a local hospital but, there he was pronounced dead. This detail was corroborated by both ABC Action News and WFLA.

Confirming the event, WFLA reported that the incident took place near Ashley Drive.

The driver of the Tesla and her passenger, fortunately, did not suffer any injuries. Following the crash, the motorcycle came to rest in the right lane of the interstate and the Tesla was brought to a stop along the shoulder. As soon as the investigation on site was completed the northbound lane was subsequently reopened for traffic. Additional details of the crash investigation are yet to be released as the case remains under review by authorities.
