Yesterday morning, a fire erupted at T-Square Woodworking, a Winter Park cabinet business, causing major damage to the establishment. According to Orange County Fire Rescue officials, the blaze was reported around 5:30 a.m. on Aloma Avenue. The fire led to road closures, with westbound lanes reopening later while eastbound lanes remained shut down.
The incident has devastated owner Randy Turbin, a New Yorker by origin, who has called Florida home for over three decades. In a statement reported by FOX 35, Turbin expressed his shock, citing the loss not just of his business but of the work projects planned for the upcoming holidays. Giving a face to the displaced business owner, neighbors up early feeding stray cats phoned Turbin upon noticing the fire, only for him to arrive and find his livelihood engulfed in flames.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the state fire marshal. No injuries have been reported in the incident, with the Orange County Fire Department stating that the fire was under control upon their arrival. The commercial building involved in the fire was promptly attended to by firefighters, as reported by WFTV.
Officials have not released any potential reasons behind the fire's origin, leaving the community to await answers.
