A woman was fatally shot during a confrontation at a northeast Houston convenience store, an incident that came to a violent head yesterday, officials said. The Houston Police Department responded to the scene at the corner of Lockwood Drive and Rand Street, with KHOU reporting that the shooting occurred at the store located at this intersection.
Law enforcement detailed the brawl, which involved a female victim and a man engaged in a heated exchange with two other men. The argument escalated, and as the pair attempted to leave the premises in their vehicle, they were shot at by the suspects, ABC13 notes. The woman, caught in the gunfire, sustained critical injuries that led to her death at a local hospital.
