A disturbing incident unfolded yesterday at Andersen Express, a manufacturing company specializing in automotive supplies located in the Muskegon area. According to WOODTV, at approximately 9:20 a.m., during a staff meeting, the company's president was stabbed by an employee. Fruitport Police reported that the assailant, a 32-year-old man from Walker, fled the scene in his vehicle but was apprehended by authorities within 15 minutes of the incident.
The suspect, now identified as Nathan Mahoney, had been employed with the company for only two weeks and was described by colleagues as "quiet and reserved." Despite initial investigations, the motive behind the attack has yet to be established. Mahoney, who now faces assault with intent to commit murder charges, was also charged with fourth-degree fleeing and eluding a police officer and is expected to be arraigned today, as per WZZM13.
The victim, whose identity was initially withheld, underwent surgery and has been listed in serious but stable condition. The company's website names Eric Denslow as president, but police have not confirmed if Denslow was the victim of the stabbing. The incident has rattled the staff at Anderson Express and has raised concerns about workplace safety. According to MLive, "Fellow employees described the suspect as having a quiet demeanor," with no apparent motive immediately available.
