Staten Island witnessed a harrowing scene this morning when a school bus, carrying 11 children and two adults, was struck and flipped over by a white Lexus RX350. The collision, as reported by NY Daily News, occurred just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Laconia and Naughton Aves. in the Midland Beach neighborhood. The injuries they sustained were described as minor, although details on the two adults' conditions were not immediately clear. Photos obtained by The Staten Island Advance showcased the school bus on its side while emergency services worked at the scene of the accident.
Authorities announced that all 13 people aboard the bus, which consisted of 11 kids and two adults, were listed in stable condition post-accident. The driver of the Lexus, who was also taken to the same hospital, suffered minor injuries as well.
