A juvenile was taken into custody after a high-speed chase that culminated in a vehicle flipping over in Harris County. According to FOX 26 Houston, the incident began when deputies located a stolen vehicle on the 12200 block of Antoine Drive and engaged in a pursuit with the 12-year-old driver behind the wheel.
The chase was short-lived, as the stolen Kia Rio was quickly flipped by the young suspect attempting to evade capture. As per Deputy Gil's report, despite the chaotic and dangerous scene, charges were not pressed by the owner of the stolen car. However, the authorities did pursue charges against the juvenile for evading in a motor vehicle.
After being processed, the underage driver was released to his mother, Click2Houston reports. The details of how the youth came into possession of the vehicle or what led to the initiation of the chase have not been publicly disclosed by the authorities.
