According to a news release from the City of Akron, Mayor Shammas Malik's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion now offers personalized birthday greetings to residents who have turned or will turn 100 years old and above. Requests can be made via an online form, with the administration committed to backfilling congratulatory messages for birthdays celebrated since January 1, 2024.
