Simultaneously, crews are tirelessly working on the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the new influx of staff and students to the Rosharon Road facility. According to KHOU 11 News, work includes expanding parking lots and upgrading technology access to support the educational needs. "We’re prepared for that and ready to go. Our maintenance and operation team have been working around the clock," Alvin ISD's chief communications officer, Renae Rives, emphasized the district’s efforts in readying the site.
The City of Pearland has also shown support with Mayor Kevin Cole spearheading a school supply drive in aid of the affected educational community. “Our community is a giving community.
