An Amber Alert has been issued for Serenity Turner-Douglas, a 15-year-old girl last seen at Elkins High School in Missouri City, as she got into a silver SUV. Detailed by the Missouri City Police Department and confirmed by Click2Houston, Turner-Douglas is believed to be in the company of 31-year-old Megan LeCour, who is her biological mother and does not have custody rights.
According to the police, Turner-Douglas has missed her last two classes on the day she disappeared, a detail her adoptive mother, Keya, learned when she realized her daughter failed to return home on the school bus. "I've actually been praying, staying, prayed up. But overall, I can't sleep. I've been back and forward speaking with the Missouri City Police Department, trying to help them as much as I can," Keya told Click2Houston. Turner-Douglas takes medication for mental health issues, adding to the concern for her well-being.
The teenager is described as being about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, last seen wearing a grey jacket, black pants, and shoes, carrying either a pink or a rainbow backpack. As for the woman she is believed to be with, LeCour is approximately 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, KHOU reports.
