Chilly waters and charitable spirits collided at the Annual Freezin' for a Reason Polar Plunge. Thanks to a joint effort involving the Argyle Police Department, local emergency services, and supportive bystanders, community members dived into the frigid unknown for a warmer cause than the weather would suggest.
The event, described in a recent social media post by the Argyle Police Department, shattered the winter calm with echoes of splashes and cheers and raised enough money to provide over 1,300 meals to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
The IMPACT Run Club made the chilly event warmer, which offered participants hot cocoa and Denton County Emergency Services District #1, which ensured everyone's safety. The event united the community for a great cause, helping fight food scarcity.
