The city of Aurora has unveiled a new feature in the ResilienceNet app, expanding access to crucial information and services for the local immigrant and refugee populations. The Community Resource Guide for Immigrants and Refugees, a comprehensive list of resources from an array of providers including the city, non-profits, and various community partners, is now available on the app which supports both Android and iOS devices.

Collaboration is key in this initiative as the guide's production comes from the city's Office of International and Immigrant Affairs and involves the partnership of One World Strong and Amigos de Mexico. To bridge the information gap for newcomers to Aurora, this digital guide aims to simplify the process of finding much-needed support, "We are very pleased to partner with the city of Aurora’s Office of International and Immigrant Affairs on this innovative project; the launch of the Community and Resource Guide as part of the ResilienceNet mobile application in Aurora is a significant step forward towards empowering the immigrant and refugee communities," said Dave Fortier, President and Executive Director of One World Strong Foundation, as per City of Aurora.

Adding to the initiative’s community engagement, Amigos de Mexico will play a pivotal role by using its platform for outreach and increasing the guide's visibility. The organization is well-positioned to promote and relay the resources to the intended audience through its established channels, leveraging social media and local events to boost awareness.
