Around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Jewell Avenue and South Old Tom Morris Road, a Honda Civic making a left turn collided with a westbound Nissan Altima. The Honda, attempting to navigate eastward when it crossed paths with the Altima, was detailed by 9NEWS as turning in front of the Nissan, which was moving "at a high rate of speed." Such a momentary maneuver resulted in a tragic end for the man operating the Civic.
Following the crash, the injured driver was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the incident.
