The Austin Police Department (APD) is currently on the lookout for two men believed to be connected to a string of aggravated robberies last year. According to a press release posted on the City of Austin's official website, these incidents occurred at two distinct locations, the first taking place on November 30, 2024, at the Tienda Mexicana service station, with the second happening on December 16, 2024, at the Mi Pueblito Food Mart.

Officials described the first suspect as a Black male, aged between 35-45, standing somewhere between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing over 200 pounds. They reported he was spotted in a gray/orange UT Austin sweatshirt, and armed with a handgun, during the time of the crimes. The second suspect, bearing a similar physical profile, was last seen in a black hoodie and also reportedly armed with a black handgun. With the suspects still at large, the APD is calling on the public for assistance.

In the statement released on January 15, the authorities provided detailed descriptions of the suspects. Suspect #1 had multicolored medical-style masks and black gloves, complemented with white shoes that have black trim. On the other hand, Suspect #2 was reported to have been wearing black sunglasses, a black gaiter, black pants, along with black gloves and shoes to match.

The department has urged anyone with information about the suspects to step forward. Tips can be directed to the APD Robbery unit at 512-974-5092. Furthermore, anonymity is guaranteed for those wishing to provide information through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program.
