
The Austin Police Department is currently on the lookout for two men believed to be connected to an aggravated assault incident that took place in the early hours of January 19. The altercation, which led to the shooting of a Hispanic male, occurred in a parking lot outside Diablas, located at 900 E Braker Lane. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to a statement released by the Austin Police department.
Investigations into the case have uncovered that the situation escalated from a verbal dispute into a physical confrontation involving the victim and a Black male. At some point during the struggle, a gun was drawn and the victim was shot. Despite the arrival of APD officers on the scene shortly after the incident, both suspects had already fled. The police are now seeking information that would lead to their apprehension.
Descriptions of the two suspects have been provided by the authorities. The first suspect, a Hispanic male, is said to be between 5’8” and 5’10” and has a notable tattoo on his right hand. He was last seen dressed in a black hat with white lettering, a black jacket, khaki pants, and black shoes. The second suspect, a Black male, is also between 5’8” and 5’10” and is bald. His last known outfit included a backward black hat, a black Adidas tracksuit, and a distinctive large silver necklace with a large medallion. In addition to these details, the suspect vehicle has been identified as a white Chevrolet Suburban produced between 2015 and 2020.
