
This morning, a San Rafael Police Department dispatch was alerted to a vehicle accident near Dominican University, as confirmed by a social media post from the department. The alert was triggered by an automated notification from a cell phone that detected the collision.
Responding officers arrived at Locust Avenue to discover a car that had collided with a tree. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, sustained minor injuries. According to the San Rafael Police Department, an ensuing investigation revealed the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
