A tragic scene unfolded in Baldwin Park where a man has been charged in the murders of three family members inside their home. In a grim revelation by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, 23-year-old Kyle Chester De Los Reyes faces allegations of fatally stabbing an 8-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, and a 44-year-old woman, as reported by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
"My office will work tirelessly to ensure that justice is served in this devastating act of violence, which has shaken our community and left a family forever changed," District Attorney Nathan Hochman told the press, noting the impact of such violent crimes on the community fabric. Hochman also emphasized a firm stance against violent crime, saying, "Let this be a clear message: those who commit heinous acts of violence will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."
The incident took place on Dec. 26, 2024, approximately at 6:48 p.m., when De Los Reyes is accused of using a deadly weapon to carry out the multiple murders at their residence located on the 4700 block of Bogart Ave, as detailed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. As of now, De Los Reyes is being detained without the possibility of bail, with an arraignment scheduled for Jan. 15 at the Pomona Branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, in Dept. N.
De Los Reyes is charged with three counts of murder, along with special allegations that include the use of a deadly weapon, and committing multiple murders. He is presumed innocent unless, and until proven guilty in a court of law. The prosecution is being led by Deputy District Attorney Vanessa A. Zuniga of the office’s Family Violence Division.
