Tragedy struck in Baltimore's northern district this morning as a 36-year-old man succumbed to his injuries following a shooting incident. According to the Baltimore Police Department's media advisory, patrol officers from Northwest District responded to a hospital report of a walk-in shooting victim at approximately 11:26 a.m.
The victim, who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, was promptly taken into surgery in a desperate attempt to save his life quickly. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the man was pronounced dead. The initial inquiry into the shooting suggests that the incident took place in the 3000 block of Oakley Avenue, where the unidentified suspect shot the victim.
