An Anne Arundel County Police officer conducted a traffic stop in Severn, which led to a drug seizure and one arrest, as per the department's recent press release. The stop, involving a red Chrysler 300 at Pioneer Drive and Reece Road intersection, occurred at about 2:40 p.m. yesterday. A search of the vehicle was executed based on probable cause, revealing 80 pills of suspected Ecstasy, roughly 16 vials of suspected Cocaine, and 15 vials of suspected Marijuana.
The driver, identified as Larry Joseph Mason, a 40-year-old male from Baltimore, Maryland, now faces charges related to the distribution and possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS). The specific charges include but are not limited to, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a CDS, the legal jargon for illegal drugs.
