Calls to the California Highway Patrol at around 1:56 a.m. prompted a response to what appeared to be a body, partially occupying the slow lane and right shoulder near the Broadway exit, as reported by The Eastsider LA. The incident has triggered an investigation into a possible hit-and-run.
As commuters awoke to the news, the identity, gender, and age of the individual remained undisclosed.
